CANE GARDEN BAY, Tortola, VI: It was another Virgin Islands Party (VIP) launch this time it was for Carnel D. Clyne who will take on the Progressive Virgin Islands Movement aka ‘NDP 2’ Hon Melvin M. Turnbull (R2).

Residents noted that a few weeks ago Hon Myron V. Walwyn (AL) Chairman of the National Democratic Party 1, had accused Hon Ronnie W. Skelton (AL) of NDP2 for leaving the party because of “Badmindedness” and only because “he lost the internal elections.”

However, last evening Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the VIP launch, commentator and programme host Claude O. Skelton-Cline, accused Hon Walwyn of his own ‘badmindedness.' saying that NDP1 are very Bad minded.

D2 Left to suffer

He said the second district was left to suffer only because Hon Turnbull left the NDP1 and “it was badmindedness why the district was ignored… but instead of hurting the current representative, they have hurt the people,” Mr Skelton-Cline stated.

The NDP 1 has a history of victimization, bullying and double talk of people and districts.  Over the past eight years, they have ignored both districts 1 and 3 because their representatives have been in the Opposition.

A history of victimization

At the last House of Assembly (HoA) meeting of Wednesday, January 23, 2019, Hon Julian Fraser RA, (R3) also raised the issue as to how opposition members and their districts have been treated for the past eight years under an NDP1 regime.

Usually, it is the people in the district that suffer and not the politicians, according to Skelton-Cline.

Have a question for all these wannabes; if you cannot handle your own house, your own finances how can we trust you to handle that of the country. That's goes for all not just those in office. Most of you cannot handle your small amounts let alone trusting you to handle the vast amount of the country.

I listen to the entire speech, watched the body language and it is clear in my mind Carnal is not ready to take over the 2nd district. But why would they want to change Mitch anyway? I know what all the noise is about, some people like Greg wanted him to leave the NDP and join the VIP? It did not happen, so they are all bent out of shape about the matter. We have someone who has taken the bull by its horns and pushed to get the ball rolling and he is making progress. People are not stupid! So, don't mind the noise. Election day voters will decide.

Just imagine, Election is a month away and the VIP is already running out of money? Something is wrong with this picture. We all know Fahie strength is not managing money, his strength is managing his mouth.

@tola, if the VIP is running out of money, it’s none of your business, those with the money are those who are in power, they must have money because of the millions they swingled back into their pockets. Tax payers dollars are been used to run political campaign. How about that?

      Difference between Government and Opposition

@Absurd, So now you really expect the former leader of the opposition to help District 2 when District 2 was controlled by the ruling government? Fahie was barely getting help for his district you really expect him to help District 2. If the government isn't willing to do it for one of their districts that shows just what a waste of time government was so Claude actually right this time.

You need to read to comprehend. That is why english is our first language. The commentator was not talking about the D1 minister. He was talking about the D2 minister who was part of the said government. So how D2 was neglected only because he left the Gov. He only left a few weeks ago. What trash are YOU talking about.

The thing with you NDP people, you all never like to hear the truth. Say what you want about the man, he is talking facts. BA is goes to show that you don’t go to church to focus on God, you just go there to study people business. Remember God uses the worst of men to spread his message. Think about Saul.

The writer earlier make sense if you really read what was said by Claude he was actually campaigning for MITCH any of his statements he has never called out anything negative about Mitch. Mitch is the representative he was part of the government. Question to Claude if Mitch was not getting nothing done how come major road development was done in Brewers Bay? He was part of the Government? Roads was paved and widen on the way to Cane Garden Bay before Hurricanes. So claude who you trying to fool deep within you for Mitch you are more closer to Mitch than Carnal. Each time VIP put you to talk it making them look like fools. Claude have personal issues with the NDP because he is not over Port Authority and beside VIP always talking but corruption so what Claude and always leading out you all campaign

Fraser did the best thing and remove himself from between them. The VIP had 11-2 there were pure corruption taking place. They all blame Fraser.
