Aruba Shaken By 4.9M Earthquake

Aruba was shaken by a light earthquake on Sunday afternoon, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake occurred at around 3:34 PM local time, at a depth of 41 kilometres.

Its epicentre was about 28 kilometres north of Arasji, Aruba, about 38 kilometres north of Oranjestad and about 131 kilometres north of Punto Fijo in Venezuela.

Most of the reports of light to moderate shaking were felt around Oranjestad, with several reports of shaking as far as Punto Fijo.

There were no reports of damage or injuries due to the quake.
