ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands proudest footballer, Troy Ceasar, was awarded with All Region Honours last week for his performances with the Andrews College Fighting Tigers football team.

The Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) announced their All-Region selections and Fighting Tigers placed four members of the 2016 squad on the first team.

Listed are Juan Garcia, a freshman midfielder from Taubate, Brazil, Ryan Davey, a freshman defender from Hampshire, England, Troy Ceasar, a sophomore defender from Tortola, Virgin Islands, and Jordan Vaughan, a freshman midfielder from Crawfordville, Florida.

Garcia started nine of ten games for the Tigers and posted 2 goals and 3 assists for 7 points, all team-leading stats.

Ceasar had 2 goals also, and chipped in with 1 assist, while starting all 10 games that he appeared in.

Davey started all 11 games for the Tigers on the back line and contributed a goal and an assist on the year, and Vaughan provided sturdy defense from his centerback position, starting all 11 games for the Tigers.

Caesar, who has performed captain duties for the Virgin Islands National Senior Team, is a former player of Ballstars Football Club. He is known as a level headed midfielder who loves an “air battle” due to his ability to leap above his opponents.
