2nd District Clean Up Project: A Community Call to Action

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI-The 2nd District United Development Council (UDC) is calling all residents, businesses and stakeholders to action this weekend for their monthly Beautification and Clean Up Project. The event will be held on Saturday, 28 January 2012 at 6:30 a.m starting at the Cane Garden Bay Park.

According to a press release from the event organizers, this event will focus on picking up debris and rubbish along the main road as well as repairing and painting the fence that encloses the public trash bins across from Bobby”s Market. After making the necessary repairs and sanitizing the area where the trash bins are located, the organization plans to discuss with the Public Works Department the need for continued maintenance.

UDC fundamentally believes that a clean community creates a much healthy environment for everyone. It is the organization”s goal to improve and enhance the quality of life by collaborating with others and making progress one day at a time.
