22 year old man shot dead in USVI

ESTATE LERKENLUND, St Thomas, USVI — A young man was shot dead on Sunday night in St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (USVI) in the area of Estate Lerkenlund, US Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) Public Information Officer Glen Dratte announced Monday, June 26, 2017.

Mr Dratte said officers from the Richard N. Callwood Command traveled to the area at approximately 11:23 PM, in reference to a gunshot victim.

Upon their arrival, police met an unresponsive male with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds about his body. He was pronounced by medical attendants on the scene, according to police.

The victim was identified by next of kin as Vascott David, 22.

The VIPD is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Crime Stoppers USVI; your tip may lead to a substantial cash reward. You may also call the VIPD's major crimes unit at 340-774-2211 ext. 5579 and 5557.

    Truly why all this killing? This is a problem all over when it aint Jamaica,it is St Kitts-Nevis,then St Croix,then The BVI, then Trinidad,then ........... Then you may also ask I wonder who will be next?Would it be a family member,close friend,an enemy or myself? We just need to walk close with God everyday every hour every moment.
