16-year-old girl allegedly raped by two USVI men

CHRISTIANSTED, St Croix, USVI - Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) officers on Thursday at about 5:01 A.M. arrested two young men who allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl at a party in the Frangipani neighborhood of Mon Bijou on August 4. The arrest warrant was issued by the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.

That’s according to VIPD Public Information, Glen Dratte, who issued a release on the arrest late Thursday. Mr. Dratte said the 16-year-old told police that she had consumed some alcohol at the house party and decided to get some rest in a bedroom. However, as she was resting, two men identified as 20-year-old David Anthony Armstrong Jr., above left, and 22-year-old Glenn Adjani David, above right, came into the bedroom and began raping her.

Both men were charged with first-degree rape and unlawful sexual contact, according to Mr. Dratte. The men were not granted bail, and were therefore remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Center pending their advisement hearing.

The case is under investigation by the VIPD’s Domestic Violence Unit, Mr. Dratte said. The force is asking anyone with information about the incident to call 340-778-4950, or 340-778-2211. You may also send your tip anonymously online to Crime Stoppers USVI.

      @sexy. So your clothes mean that these sick minded individuals are allowed to rape? I don't care if she was naked, they have no rights to put their hands on her. You sound as though you approve of their sick actions, which means you need help mentally too along with them. I hope you don't have a grandmother, mother, aunt, sister or daughter who you claim to love, because according to your statement, they have a right to be raped because of their clothes. Let's not forget about the sickos that rape no matter what clothes the women are wearing or their age. Rapists have s BIG BIG problem.

        I agree completely with you , no man should ever be able to use the excuse of "what she was wearing " How would any woman know what she can wear and be safe? because she could have no knowledge of what a particular man finds attractive. A woman should be able to wear whatever she is comfortable with and not have fear of attracting a rapist.

    She is not the legal age of consent so even if she was a willing participant their goose is cooked. Matter of fact even if she was at the age of consent and the act was consensual their goose stilll cooked because she is now crying rape. I have sons and boy ah talking and telling them about heifers and what not for its not easy with the modern ways.If no biological evidence and no witness and they deny deny then maybe but still iffy.
