Zika virus infected Beenie Man allegedly denied Canadian Visa

Beenie Man, born Moses Davis, has often been criticised of appearing very late on stage and then just singing a few songs before making his exit when he had appeared in the Virgin Islands.
This time Beenie Man gave a pulsating performance, even while infected with the Zika virus.
Beenie Man himself admitted that he was infected, saying despite his condition, he gave every effort to show up and perform.
Denied Canadian Visa
But it was days before that Beenie Man was allegedly denied a visa to perform in Canada due to him being infected with the mosquito borne virus.
He was slated to perform at OVO Fest in Toronto last night, July 30, 2016 but the Jamaican artist explained on Instagram and Facebook that part of the reason he missed the festival was because the Canadian government denied his Visa request due to his virus. He shared news of his condition and apologised to his fans for missing OVO Fest.
In the caption of the Instagram post, Beenie Man revealed that he's currently being treated with blood tests, injections, and pills. He also claims to have been infected with the dengue virus by the same mosquito that gave him Zika. He ended the post by praising Haile Selassie and affirming to his fans, "Wi a hol firm still."
Beenie Man was set to perform alongside the self-proclaimed King of Soca, Trinidad's Machel Montano.
Instead, Beenie Man ended up co-headlining the stage show on July 29, 2016 in the Virgin Islands with fellow Jamaican artiste, Sizzla Kolanji.
Should Beenie Man been denied entry to VI?
And while, many have counted themselves lucky, including the promoters, that Beenie Man was not a no-show, there are others who are asking whether he should have been allowed to enter the territory in the first place.
The Virgin Islands Government recently announced that there have been no confirmed cases of Zika in the territory.
Zika virus is transmitted to people primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito. These are the same mosquitoes that spread dengue and chikungunya viruses.
Mosquitoes become infected when they feed on a person already infected with the virus. Infected mosquitoes can then spread the virus to other people through bites. It can also be transmitted sexually.
Meanwhile, Acting Chief Immigration Officer Ian B. Penn said he was not aware of any policy in place that could restrict persons affected with Zika virus from entering the territory.
