Woman charged for Obscene Publication- RVIPF

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A woman on Tortola has found herself in trouble with the law after allegedly making an obscene publication.

According to an Arrest Blotter for the period May 30-June 12, 2021, released by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) on June 16, 2021, Fayan Antoine, 27, of Nottingham Estate was arrested and charged on June 3, 2021, with Obscene Publication.

Antoine was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one surety for her appearance at the Magistrate's Court on July 14, 2021.

Other Arrest Matters for May 30 to June 12, 2021

ASSAULT OCCASIONING BODILY HARM

On 31-05-2021 at 0130hrs, Police arrested and charged Bob Archibald, a native of St. Vincent, residing in The Valley, Virgin Gorda for Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, Throwing Missiles, Criminal Damage, Armed with an Offensive Weapon and Disorderly Conduct. He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail in the sum of $45,000.

THEFT

On 31-05-2021 at 0936hrs, Police arrested and charged Shakoy George, 27, of Belle Vue for Theft, Forgery and possessing Proceeds of Criminal Conduct. He was granted bail to appear before the Magistrate’s Court on 15-07-2021.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

  1. On 03-06-2021 at 1215hrs, Police arrested and charged Misheal Bess, 46, of Copper Mine Road with Taking a Conveyance and Criminal Damage. She was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 for her appearance before the Magistrate on 15-07-2021. 
  2. On 04-06-2021 at 2350hrs, Police arrested and charged Mekah Campbell, 40, a native of Jamaica, residing in Long Bush with Common Assault and Criminal Damage.  She was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one surety for her appearance at the Magistrate’s Court on 22-07-2021 at 0900hrs.

INDECENT ASSAULT

On 10-06-2021 at 1700hrs, Police arrested and charged Richard Stephen, 48, a Jamaican national, residing in Freebottom for Indecent Assault. He was granted bail in the sum of $10,000 with one signed surety to appear before the Magistrate Court on 29-07-2021 at 0900hrs.

ARMED WITH AN OFFENSIVE WEAPON

On 06-11-2021 at 1645hrs, Police arrested and charged Rex Malone of West End for Being Armed with An Offensive Weapon.

    Send them home to their native country/island, if they were arrested for other criminal offenses. Do what the UK and the USA is doing in some of these habitual or repeated cases.
