ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- While giving evidence in her defence, Seanna Jack of Brady Ghut admitted to fisting a woman as an act of self-defense at a bar on Valentine’s Day last year.

Jack said the incident occurred when she and her baby’s father entered Sabrina’s Bar in Fat Hogs Bay on February 14, 2018.

She told the court they went to the bar for a drink on their way from shopping for groceries, when she overheard the Virtual Complainant (VC), who was in a relationship with Jack’s baby’s father, informing the bartender to charge a round of drinks to her baby father’s bill.

Jack said she then informed the bartender that it was her bill and no other drinks should be charged to her bill.

Shortly after, Jack said she questioned her companion on the reason he did not purchase a drink for his girlfriend and her friends who sat at a table nearby.

Jack said his response to her question was: “I’m not going to buy no broke @$$ b*#ches no drink,” which triggered the VC to hurl a bottle in his direction. The bottle reportedly missed the target but came into contact with Jack's feet.

Jack said her companion then rose to attack the VC but she intervened to prevent him from doing so.

Despite her efforts to part the lovers, Jack testified that the VC gave her a hard shove and it was then she fisted her.

'I fisted her once'

Jack denied fisting the VC more than once or kicking her until she became unconscious as per the allegations read in the court of the incident.

The VC sustained swelling to her head and had to be taken to hospital for medical attention following the alleged assault.

The Defendant also denied having more than a friendly relationship with her baby’s father.

Jack was later charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Attorney-at-law Andrew Morrison represents Jack. The matter is expected to resume on Wednesday, November 11, 2019.

    Just an observation,
It’s pagan Vday which people celebrate their love for each other.... Why are you out with your baby daddy?... Okay so he took you to buy groceries and then to a bar?... why not have him drop you home and let him go about his life and you go about yours?... Then his girl is at the bar with friends lol, you gonna stay?.... and ask why he hasn't bought any drinks for her?... I think you wanted to hit her... no one else tried to part the fight?... You still into that man and he is a prick and the other chick should have just said boy bye.
