Winston E. Nibbs slams Hon Fraser for leaving territory unannounced

Speaking on the radio programme Speak Out BVI on radio ZBVI 780 AM last night November 10, 2015, Nibbs said that Honourable Fraser should have informed the territory given that he holds two very important posts.
Honourable Fraser had attended a Public Accounts Committee symposium in London from October 19 to 22, 2015 which focused on the theme of ensuring accountability and which centred on the role of a modern Public Accounts Committee.
He had reported that, "Through case studies and discussions with leading practitioners we discussed key topics such as transparency and security of public finances, the Public Accounts Committee's relationship with the media, and how to proactively tackle issues of governance and accountability.”
Nibbs on the programme waded into Honourable Fraser for not informing the people of the territory of his visit prior to it being made.
“I have one concern that is very serious to me right now. It is understood and was confirmed by the Honourable Julian Fraser RA, Leader of the Opposition, that he had officially left the territory at some point in time recently on a mission I guess to deal with the country’s business.”
He said that while the mission of the Opposition Leader was a noble one it does not absolve him from the responsibility of informing the people of the territory.
“It is very imperative that your movements are noted. If you’re going to leave the country on a [non] private matter the country needs to be aware especially when you have integral and important posts such as Leader of the Opposition and Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee,” he said, addressing Honourable Fraser directly.
According to Nibbs, it is obvious from what Honourable Fraser reported to the House on Monday November 2, 2015 during the Any Other Business agenda item on the Order Paper is that he was on official business.
Is Fraser being hypocritical?
However, Nibbs found it ironic that Honourable Fraser stood up in the House of Assembly speaking of the need for the House to be more embracing of openness and good governance when he himself failed to inform the people of his leaving the territory.
“I am challenging not necessarily Honourable Fraser himself but the entire House of Assembly that when an elected official leaves the country on official business we should be notified [through a medium that ensures visibility of such news by the general public].”
“And also if it is official business we need to be aware of what the nature of that official business is,” he said. “Because I am not going to sit here and be fed by anything which is suggested.”

@ stay focus: great point but Winston will not touch that subject because he looks to the wh**es for jobs BUT gets on public radio to belittle his own people... the whole set on them on the radio beating up on their own people will never touch the real social issues in our country( its shameful)..... I challenge Winston nibbs to go on Radio and speak about the marine industry in HIS country but he will never do so, because he depends on the crumbs from the wh**e boy table
