Empowering our people

This year marks the fifth annual job fair hosted by Mr Willock and his committee. He described the initiative as part of “our continued efforts on our journey to empower our people”.

Mr Willock said the committee is pleased that, over the past four years, more than 25 residents have been placed in meaningful employment, with many still working in those positions today.

He added that the Trade Department’s presence is especially important because, while he supports traditional employment, “we also encourage our people to take advantage of our entrepreneurial spirit.”

The 2026 District Three Job Fair is sponsored by: Nanny Cay Marina, Tortola Auto Group (TAG), Ms Patsy Lake of One Stop Mall, Asif Backhoe Services, Long Bay Beach Resort, Biras Creek Resort, Digicel, Pirates Bight Restaurant & Bar, and Ricky’s 24-Hour Trucking and Sewage Disposal.
