Willock hits back @ libellous Guavaberry Media article
Today, October 23, 2024, former Speaker of the House of Assembly (HoA) Mr Julian Willock is hitting back at allegations against him by Guavaberry Media owned by the controversial Rosemary L. Rosan aka ‘Cindy’.
The local tabloid alleged Hon Lorna G. Smith, OBE (AL) was “sacrificed” to allow Mr Willock to run in the 2027 general elections.
Hon Smith was today fired from her post as Deputy Premier and Minister for Financial Services, Labour and Trade and Third District Representative Hon Julian Fraser RA was made the new Deputy Premier and given the portfolios of Minister for the Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change and Labour and Immigration.
Guavaberry Media erroneously reported: “Reports from close VIP insiders, say that the deal offered to Honourable Julian Fraser would secure his retirement with a decent salary and payout via the ‘Greedy Bill’, and allow him to be able to retire from political office on a high note as a Minister. In turn, he would endorse Julian Willock for his run as District 3 Representative in the 2027 general election.
“It is believed that Julian Willock was a close, unofficial advisor to Lorna Smith.”
See statement below by former HoA Speaker Julian Willock
It has been brought to my attention and therefore, I have perused the libellous and defamatory report written by the miserable and hate speech queen of the Virgin Islands, Ms. Cindy Rosan in her article with the headline; ‘Lorna Smith sacrificed for Julian Willock run in 2027’
Firstly, like most Virgin Islanders I had no idea that the Premier Hon. Natalio D. Wheatley would have made a decision to fire a Minister, let alone Hon. Lorna G. Smith OBE whom I consider a friend. For transparency, I am a member of the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) and a member of the party’s Third District Committee. No one advised me or the VIP third district committee about the Premier's move.
For Ms. Cindy Rosan to claim that it was a sacrifice for me for a supposed endorsement is rubbish, untruth and unfounded. I have had no such discussions with neither the Premier nor Hon. Julian Fraser or any of their agents, therefore, I call on Ms. Cindy Rosan to cease her defamatory posts and instead be responsible in publishing facts. I have tried my best to stay out of her way and not get roped into her wicked rants and attacks against other Virgin Islanders.
Let me assure the public that Ms. Rosan's article is unfounded and so I will humbly and politely caution Ms. Cindy Rosan that karma is real and when she is digging a hole for others, to please dig two.
I want to take this time to remind all residents of District Three of our annual Job Fair on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the grounds of Therapy Works located at Hannah Bay, Tortola.

Sure everyone gets it wrong 10% of the time! I think the big story is NW throwing a hero and a real leader, in Ms. Smith, under the bus for more power!
He is saving his own skin while the country sinks.
Based on what she went in HoA and say with the trust company which was false, even the staff in there shocked they didn’t even know they had automation cause Lorna ain’t telling the truth! Do some research and she will be exposed by this one fact!
No thank you
she is not the only person in the territory given a political appointment as a minister and was removed
