Will the barking ‘Iron Dog’ bite tonight?
The bout, a rematch from earlier this year, also at the Multi Purpose Sports Complex and won by local boxer, Iron Fist, takes place after a mixture of Junior and Youth and the undercard.
“I’ve been training real hard for this fight and Iron Dog can never take me down,” commented Iron Fist. “He’s going down in the first round with the first punch, he won’t even know when it’s coming, but it is coming, the first punch in the first round.”
‘I am going to break him down’
“Once upon a time, when I didn’t know how Julan Brown (Iron Fist) fought I would have been concerned by his words, but now, I have an idea of his approach and stance, so I’m just going to break him down and get through to him,” responded Iron Dog.
Iron Dog from Jamaica went on to let Iron Fist know a new punch was on the way, “Bruce Lee woke up from sleep one night in my dream and gave me a new punch, so I’m going to use it this time.”
Of course, Iron Fist had a quick-fire response just like his right left combo. “You know I’m confident in myself and never back down. Bruce Lee may have woken up, but I’m going to baptise him, not in water, but in the ring.
The card gets underway at 8:00 P.M. in the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex with a series of young men showing their skills in the ring, before Andrew Lettsome takes on Yakita Oscar from Antigua in a Middleweight contest.
Iron Dog then faces Iron Fist in their rematch.
Entrance to the event is $30 dollars for adults and $15 for children.
VIP tickets are available at $50.
