‘Undetected attack’
“February 10th marked the second anniversary of this currently undetected attack. However, Detectives are still hopeful that members of the community may have crucial information that will assist in identifying those responsible for these senseless shootings and to bring some closure to the grieving families.”
Anyone with information relating to these crimes are urged to contact Detective Inspector Vernon Larocque; directly on 368-9809 or the Major Crime Investigation Team on 368-5682. “All information will be treated with the strictest confidence,” police said.
‘Any little info would be greatly appreciated’- Family of Stevens
“After two years, the family of Micheal W. Stevens aka Pup-D is still mourning the tragic death of a beloved son, brother, father, nephew and friend.
"We’re urging the public to come forth with any information that could assist the RVIPF in solving the murder of Pup-D and bring to justice the person or persons who took the life of this innocent young man who has left behind his son whom he loved so dearly. Any little information would be greatly appreciated,” the family of Stevens said.
He didn't deserve to die like that’- Family of Sweeney
“February 10th 2018, left my family in a mental state of which to date we are unable to begin healing. It has been two years since that dreadful day when Clevaughn 'Potty' Sweeney was senselessly taken from us,” the family of Sweeney wrote.
The said Sweeney was known to so many as full of life, the sunshine in any bad weather, a person who found a reason to laugh even in the roughest and toughest of situations. “If you knew Clevaughn there was never a dull day.”
“It is so hard to [think] that the place we call our home is so heartless where everybody knows who died before there is even a crime scene but nobody knows who committed the crime, where protecting the life of murderers is more important than justice for that which was taken. Just image this was your son, brother, uncle, cousin, even your friend that was taken so viciously, you would want justice as well. We are asking for anyone who knows who have done this heinous crime to come forward no matter how small the information may seem and help us get justice for Clevaughn. Clevaughn was a kind, loving, funny hardworking, friendly young man who left behind his two year old daughter. He didn't deserve to die like that.”
