Weather Report: Scattered showers expected today- DDM

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- It may be very wise to walk with umbrellas today October 19, 2012 since the Department for Disaster Management (DDM) is reporting there will be scattered showers as skies over the Virgin Islands will be occasionally cloudy.

Synopsis: A trough in the lower layers of the atmosphere will maintain unstable conditions over the central Caribbean today.

Wx: Skies over Virgin Islands will be occasionally cloudy with scattered showers. There is a slight chance for the outbreak of isolated thunderstorm this afternoon.

Winds: Southeast 10 - 12 Kts.

Seas: Slight to moderate swells 3- -5 - FT or 11. - 1.5 M.

Barometric Pressure: Near normal
