MIAMI BEACH, Florida, USA- The British Virgin Islands Tourist Board and Film Commission (BVITBFC) has hailed its participation at the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show at Sailor’s Cove – IGY Yacht Haven Grande from February 11–15, 2026, as “another unforgettable one”.

The Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show remains one of the world’s premier boating and marine industry events, attracting thousands of international boating enthusiasts, charter clients, and industry professionals. For the VI, the show continues to serve as a vital platform for promoting the Territory as a leading global sailing and yachting destination, while strengthening relationships with both trade and consumer audiences.

“Another unforgettable year at the 2026 Miami International Boat Show!

“Our incredible North American Team made waves by bringing the British Virgin Islands to the forefront at Booth IG112, and we definitely left our mark!” the BVI Tourist Board stated on its social media page on February 18, 2026.

‘Sailing Capital of the World’

The Virgin Islands is regarded as the Sailing Capital of the World, and earlier this month it took the top spot as the #1 Caribbean Yachting Destination of the Year by Caribbean Journal for the Caribbean Travel Awards!

“We reminded everyone why the BVI isn’t just any destination... It’s paradise redefined, and proudly the Sailing Capital of the World™️ where adventure meets tranquillity, and every horizon calls you home,” BVITBFC stated.

Joining the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission at the show were Virgin Islands tourism industry partners Virgin Islands Shipping and Maritime Authority (VISMA), and Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina.

Other tourism partners who had a presence at the show but exhibited independently included Marinemax Vacations, WaypointsYacht Charters, The Moorings/Sunsail, Navigare Yachting and Dream Yacht Charter.

the BVI has a great future ahead...but gracious goodness.... the roads are sooo awful. I don't care how much $14 mil contract was signed for them. If they are not compliant with International standards and just a certain person allowed to throw asphalt on them.... we are in lots of trouble.
