We all have a destiny

David, the shepherd boy, the youngest of the seven sons of Jesse was anointed by the prophet Samuel to be the second king of Israel after God rejected Saul, the first king of Israel. 1 Samuel 15: 1-13.

Every one of us has a destiny but many of us are not taught to look at ourselves from this perspective. We are all created special and from in our mothers’ wombs we are remarkable and celebrated. The Lord has made each of us special and for a noteworthy purpose. It does not matter our family back ground we are just SPECIAL!! SPECIAL!! SPECIAL!! How special? Very special, indeed! It does not matter our physical appearance the heart is the measure of a person. A good heart is what is important at the end of the day. No one can fulfill our destiny our purpose or our resolution that God has for each of us. We are all unique; after God made each person, he threw away the blue prints. No two persons are alike. Each of us is endowed with the ability or capacity to love and appreciate life and each other. The lord has given us all talents; some have three, some have two and many have one. However, there is something special that we can do.

As we try to fulfill our God- given purposes we will make mistakes along the way but one or two mistakes should not make us curl up and play dead. Once there is life there is hope. We should hold fast to our dreams and do everything in our power to achieve them. One should not let his/her obstacles prevent him/her from reaching his/her goals. One must use his/her drawbacks or hindrances as stepping stones to success. We should be proud of our country, proud of our family and most importantly we must be proud of ourselves. My friends it is pertinent that we have in ourselves a sense of pride. Along life’s journey dignity and self respect is imperative in living a happy and meaning full life.

There are those who will be negative towards you, of course, you don’t have to pay them any mind because they cannot stop your destiny. You just have to remember that it is the Devil’s job to stop you from fulfilling your God-given purpose. The Devil has his role to play and you have your role to play. My friends keep a positive mind. Negativity cannot conquer the person with a positive mind set. We must rise high above the negative forces in the society

In life each of us has a role to play. The role that we have to play may not be as famous and admirable as the positive roles played by the late Reverend Dr Martin Luther King Jr and the late Rosa Parks in the Civil Rights Movement in the United States, but it is a role none the less. On November 22, 1963 the alleged person who assassinated the late President John F. Kennedy, is known over the world for that negative role he played on that sad day in American history.

Finally, Only God knows our destiny; our destiny is in His hands. We do not choose our destiny; God, our maker and creator, does. Into His loving hands we commit our spirits, keeping in mind that He alone knows our tomorrow.
