VIVA elections in November expected to be hotly contested
High on the list of interest will be the elections, which promise to be a hotly contested affair.
The Officers to be elected to the Executive Committee are the President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Public Relations Officer and Two (2) Players Representatives.
With each team entitled to nominate a maximum of two (2) person for each post on the Executive Committee, it remains unclear as to who will be standing, but at least one challenger to the reign of Sabinah Clement is expected.
Nominations have to be submitted to the Association via email by October 25, 2016 and then voting will take place on all positions to be contested by all the teams registered in the VIVA domestic league during the election year.
Teams must also be in good standing according to the Association and will be allowed to be represented at the AGM by two (2) delegates, both of whom shall be eligible to vote and hold office.
Teams currently not in good standing have until October 14, 2016 to submit payment of registration fees to the Association in order to be entitled to the privilege of participating in the election process.
