ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The tiny British Overseas Territory of the Virgin Islands stood tall in Bulgaria recently when it capped off a successful showing at the Prince and Princess of the World 2017 with Jonathan T. Hutchinson being crowned Super Grand Prize 2017 Prince.

The 6th World Festival for Beauty, Talents & Fashion ‘Prince & Princess of the World’ 2017 and the 4th International Forum ‘Stars of the World’ 2017 were held from June 23-30 in Bulgaria.

More than 20 countries from 4 continents were represented, including the Virgin Islands, whose contestants included 2016 Prince and Princess Show winners Jonathan T. Hutchinson and Jae'da A. de Castro and runner up Ahijah Barth.

Apart from being crowned Prince of the World 2017, Hutchinson was voted Overall Best Talent.

Meanwhile, in the Age Group Category, both de Castro and Barth won the Princess of the World 2017 Grand Prize.

de Castro also received the Overall prize for Best Smile.

It was announced by the Virgin Islands Prince & Princess Pageant Committee on its Facebook page that Jonathan and Ahijah have been invited to compete in Moscow, while Jonathan, Ahijah and Jae’da have been invited to compete in Japan.

The successful Virgin Islands delegation was scheduled to return to the territory today, June 30, 2017 and was expected to be welcomed by Government officials, pageant committee members, family, friends and well wishers.

      It was really disappointing last evening as only family, a few friends and the Committe members were there to welcome these children back home. People we really need to do better.

        Smh..people have a life with more important things to do. Welcoming home kids from a pageant does not make it on my top ten list of things to do. As far as I am concerned the only people who needed to be there are the parents to take them home
