GEORGETOWN, Guyana, SA- Infinite Solutions, a technology hardware company led by Virgin Islander Bishop John I. Cline, opened a new office in Georgetown, Guyana on Tuesday, June 8, 2023, as the country continues its rapid development as an oil and gas economy.

Bishop Cline, in opening remarks at the company’s North Road location, said years ago he saw an opportunity for renewable energy in the country which never materialised; however, now was the time to expand Infinite Solutions through local partnerships.

“I believe that this is the fullness of time for this venture. Guyana has one of the fastest growing economies, especially in the Western Hemisphere with a GDP of about 25% year-over-year annually. We are just deliciously proud to be a part of the growth that's happening in Guyana,” he said.

Bishop Cline continued: “We believe that we have a special product. We believe that we have a special service that will help to develop the business and the economy here in Guyana. We are in a digital transformation, and we believe that the products that we offer with the partners that we have such as Lenovo and HP and Canon… Microsoft, are all well positioned to help us to achieve goals that we set out and help businesses to achieve their goals."

'Competitive advantage'

Mr Cline added that he was happy to be in Guyana and, through local partner Roger Cullen, a past VI employee, the company is looking to offer service with a competitive advantage to businesses in Guyana.

Meanwhile, present at the small opening event were members of the press, special invitees, and other VI, local, and regional business partners.

Infinite Solutions is the reseller of computer hardware, copier machines, and electronic accessories in the [British] Virgin Islands.

The company was established in the VI in 1994 and owns distribution rights for Lenovo, HP, and Microsoft brands in the VI. It is also an authorised VI reseller of IBM, Adobe, Canon, and Konica Minolta brands.

@ Well Sah. Let's get real. First of all, I would like to tell Mr. Cline Congratulations on your new venture. @ Well Sah, you cannot compare Guyana which is a large population compared to a small Tortola. If you bring KFC and Pizza Hut here, they will put our tiny businesses out of business. Large business chains can wipe out everything we have to survive. We do NOT need any large global corporations on our small islands. We have more than enough businesses here to survive and be happy. That is the beauty of our islands, which are not spoiled by commercialism, but owned by the locals and other small businesses, putting our monies back into our islands. If every island had big commercial stores, how would the locals survive?

Good move Mr.Cline. I guess you did not had any fight down to get permission to start up your business there, easy process, no one told you about UP Island people and go back to where you come from. You didnt had the stress that any Guyanese living here would have if they try to start a business. Guyana is moving up, soon everyone will be running there for jobs. I want to go back and work at immigration and serve the same treatment Guyanese got for places like Barbados, here etc. Treated like dogs.....the stone that the builder refuse can become the cornerstone. Always treat people right.

Those Guyanese women is giving you women in the BVI a run for your money. Soon the American women is going to give you women in the BVI a run for your money. The Santo women, women from Tortola and women from other Caribbean Islands is played out. The men is tired of eating fish and fungi.

Tortola women is slow and complacent that is why the men is straying. But understand these days the women is only dealing and want to be with the elite men in the BVI.
