VI’s Guillaume Parkins & James Ramprashad officiating Dallas Cup matches

DALLAS, Texas, USA- BVI Football Association (BVIFA) match officials, Guillaume Parkins and James Ramprashad, have been selected to represent the Virgin Islands (VI) and participate in the 2026 Concacaf Advanced Referee Coaching program.

Parkins, selected as an Assistant Referee, and Ramprashad, selected as a Referee, will participate in the program at the internationally renowned Dallas Cup in Texas, USA, from March 29 to April 5, 2026. 

They join an elite group of match officials from across the Concacaf region, a press release from the BVIFA said on Sunday, March 29, 2026. 

Expected to officiate multiple matches 

The Dallas Cup is one of the most competitive international youth tournaments in world football, and features top teams across multiple age categories, including the highly competitive Under-19 Super Group. 

The tournament also serves as a key development platform for referees, providing high-level match experience alongside advanced coaching, mentorship, and evaluation.

Both Parkins and Ramprashad are expected to officiate multiple matches throughout the tournament and will engage in intensive coaching sessions designed to enhance their performance at the highest level.

Their selection is a testament to dedication- Avanell Morton

The BVIFA added that the selection of both officials reflects the continued growth and development of refereeing standards within the VI, and their participation underscores Concacaf’s commitment to nurturing officiating talent across the region while offering valuable international exposure.

BVIFA President Avanell Morton, aka ‘Clarkie’, expressed his congratulations, noting that the appointments are a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and hard work demonstrated by both officials. 

Such opportunities, he emphasised, play a vital role in elevating the standard of officiating locally and inspiring the next generation of referees.
