ORLANDO FLORIDA, United States- Early childhood education in the Virgin Islands is set to reach new heights as a team of early childhood professionals attends the 2025 NAEYC Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, from November 19 to 22, 2025.

The team consists of professionals from daycares, preschools, and primary schools.

The NAEYC Annual Conference is the largest gathering of early childhood educators organised by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. It offers valuable professional development through various sessions, speakers, and networking opportunities.

Conference aligns with the ministry's goals

Attendees will have the chance to engage in numerous activities, including conferences, networking events, and advocacy efforts, all of which are crucial for advancing the early childhood profession. 

The 2025 conference will be held under the theme "In This Place, We Learn. For Every Child, We Lead."

According to the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, this important trip supports the Ministry's strategic goals of strengthening early learning and aligning local practices with global standards. 

Focusing on the theme, 'In This Place, We Learn. For Every Child, We Lead', professionals from the Virgin Islands will gain insights on advocacy, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), diversity, and leadership.

The Ministry added that it looks forward to their return with innovative strategies to enhance the quality of early childhood education across the Virgin Islands.
