VI’s Adaejah Hodge wins triple gold @ USTAF Jr Olympics

JACKSONVILLE, Florida, VI- While Hurdler Kyron A. McMaster and Long Jumper Chantel E. Malone were enjoying Olympic success in Tokyo, reaching the finals of their respective events, young athletic phenom Adaejah Hodge was reaping tremendous success at the US Track and Field (USTAF) Junior Olympics held at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, USA from July 26 to August 1, 2021.

The Virgin Islander, competing in the Girls 15-16 Division, captured gold medals in the 200m, 400m and Long Jump at Hodges Stadium.

Triple Gold!

Representing Legacy Athletics, Hodge began her exploits by winning the Long Jump event with a distance of 5.90m (19’-4 1/2”) on Thursday, July 30, 2021.

Hodge then took her second gold medal in the 400m final with a time of 53.81 on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

It was then triple gold for Hodge when she won the 200m final with a time of 24.01 seconds on Sunday, August 1, 2021.

“If you don't know Adaejah Hodge, get familiar quick. Olympic champion in the making. Junior Olympics is just another step on the journey! Congratulations Adaejah!” Sports Minister Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley commented on his Facebook page on July 30, 2021.
