BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands is now recording 45 active cases of COVID-19.

Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone (AL) revealed the latest number last evening, September 14, 2021, during his appearance on the 'Honestly Speaking' radio show with Claude O. Skelton Cline on ZBVI 780 AM.

“We currently have 45 active cases; this comes at a total recorded cases of 2,644. The last number we had was 50, but it is now down to 45.”

Recoveries

The Health Minister also said the total number of persons recovered is 2,562.

Honourable Malone said; however, “that adds seven new recoveries from where we were, but there were also in terms of positives cases another two. What we have to be mindful of is that we are still able and actually thankful that we catch a number of persons in the day zero test; we have nine of those. We have one on day eight, four on day seven and travel screening, and this is the most troubling part of it because when you travel screen, it means that you are here, so there are nine of those persons,” he said.

Hon Malone also said there were 11 local COVID-19 cases, and the number of COVID-19 related deaths has not risen from 37.

Headline should read: KNOWN active cases down to 45. Recalk that 50%+ of Covid cases have no symptoms, so people don’t even know they are carrying it and could be infective. Secondly, there is no effort AFIK to go into the community to test people to know the real prevalence of this disease. That said it is good news.

Earlier this year I said it would be a wide thing to do a study of blood samples collevted at random. We have to be further along in immunity than what officials are proposing.

For months there might have been people sneezing and coughing and attributing it to allergies or a regular cold when they might have had covid. We're so worried about death that we forget that most people survive.

How can this be accurate seeing a certain private school recorded positive case of an 11 grade student and all their immediate contacts and family. And also the the BVIHSA. Hiding the truth continuously just because those persons are double jabbed. I am so frustrated with the lies. God will expose them all. Continue, Mr. Minister and all your friends in on it with you. People just keep your guards up. They are always conspiring. Check Mr. Minister statement on the next site. He is upset vaccine uptake has been low lately. He is agitated
