VI to host 2026 Nagico & Interpath Jr Caribbean Squash C/ships next month

PASEA ESTATE, Tortola, VI- The BVI Squash Rackets Association (BSRA) has announced that it is once again hosting the Nagico and Interpath Junior Caribbean Squash Championships set for July 10-16, 2026, at Tortola Sports Club.

The premier event within the Caribbean will attract just under 150 of the best players from the region, along with 20 coaches and managers, and a further 80 supporters. 

According to the BSRA, there will be representation from Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Jamaica, St Vincent, Trinidad & Tobago, and the Virgin Islands.

"On top of the all the players… there will be approximately another 20 coaches and managers… and a further 80 supporters making the trip over to cheer on their players… making this one of the bigger events for Sports Tourism!"

When the championships were hosted by the VI in 2024, the host players made history by winning an unprecedented 3 Gold Medals. Prior to 2024, the VI had only ever won 1 Gold Medal in its history (Joe Chapman in 2009).

VI team 'working really hard'- Adam Murrills

National Squash Coach Adam Murrills commented, "Our Junior Team has been working really hard for the past few months in preparation for the Championships. Having the event here on home soil once again definitely adds an excitement to the overall feeling of our players.

"Our junior programmes have been growing in size and the quality is ever improving… so we feel well positioned to perform well and to hopefully create another historic set of results!"

Murrils also extended appreciation to title sponsors Nagico and Interpath. "Event’s of this magnitude couldn’t happen without the support of the community… so thank you."
