VI to feature on Tempo's Rise and Shine April 1

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Virgin Islands and The Hope Festival will be featured for the third time, showcasing the beautiful island of Jost Van Dyke and local gospel artists Levor Lettsome and Ishika Charles.

Tempo's Rise and Shine: British Virgin Islands Edition will premiere on Sunday, 1st April, 2012 airing at 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and will be repeated throughout the week.

A new episode will premiere on Sunday, 8th April 2012. Tempo is seen throughout the Caribbean by over three million people.

Hope Festival 2011 Victory Concert was hosted by the Cane Garden Bay Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Melvin A. Turnbull. The VI will have a three week special on Tempo's Rise and Shine. Two dynamic episodes were recorded; the first at the Hope Festival 2011 Victory Concert, and the other while touring the island of Jost Van Dyke. A special interview featuring our local gem, Foxy, is also included. The host of the show, Jamie Thomas, stated the episodes shot in the VI continue to be among the best in the life of the show.

Hope Festival (BVI), which is entering its 7th year, includes Platinum sponsors such as the Ministry of Education and Culture, British Virgin Islands Tourist Board, Century Insurance Limited, MWM Financial Services Group Limted, Popeye (BVI Productions), ZKING Radio, Michael Herbert Transportation, A Value, and Medicure Group Limited.

Minister Turnbull, also stated that Tempo has signed on to two episodes this year and through a partnership with the BVI Tourist Board, will feature/market our islands to 3 million people, while showing off our culture through song and dance.

This year’s theme for Hope Festival 2012 is ”OVERCOME”.

The four-part unique worship experience will take place at the Cane Garden Bay Baptist Church from Monday, 2nd July through Thursday, 5th July at 7:30 p.m. nightly with speakers. The final night will feature a concert on Friday, 6th July at 7:30 p.m. featuring award-winning gospel artist J. Moss and others.
