VI to compete in Basketball & Track & Field @ inaugural Caribbean Games

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The [British] Virgin Islands will be represented in Basketball and Track and Field at the first edition of the Caribbean Games slated for Guadeloupe from June 29 to July 3, 2022.

The athletes and coaches were introduced to the media at a press conference held at the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (DYAS) conference room on June 21, 2022.

Track & Field Team

The Track and Field athletes are Ke'Andrae Campbell (100m); Mikkel Bassue (100m, 4X100m); Vadley Sylvester (400m, 400X100m); Malik John (400m, 400X100m); Malik Romney (110 Hurdles); Djimon and Diamante Gumbs (Shotput); Arianna Hayde (Long Jump, Javelin, Triple Jump & 4X100); Beyonce DeFreitas (100m); Xiomara Malone (4X100m, Long Jump); and Zara Brown (100m, 4X100m).

The coaches are Erica Fredericks and Eric Mathias.

3X3 Basketball Team

The 3X3 Basketball team members are Jolene Bowen, Keithrece Smith, Shauliqua Fahie, and Kiara Woodley.

The coach is Joy Victor.

The team physio is Levi James.

The Chef de Mission is Ralston Henry.
