‘Important milestone’

The E-Litigation Portal is seen as an important milestone in the overall modernisation of judicial administration in the Eastern Caribbean. The ECSC e-Litigation Portal is designed to serve as the platform to improve the delivery of justice to the citizens of the region and was also designed to contribute substantially to increasing the transparency and efficiency of court services.

According to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, the Portal provides stakeholders with convenient and easy access to the web-based platform via a secure login, online document filing facilities, full access to all case documents, management of case files through e-mail and notifications, calendaring, and a hearing management module to allow for greater flexibility in the selection of hearing dates.

As you the movers and shakers celebrate this so called first milestone, you should also celebrate that this jurisdiction is the first to celebrate the demolition of the Magistrate's Court in John's Hole without a replacement, no jury trials and the remand prisoners on remand with their silence.

What a bunch of Goble-De-Goop. No idea what this means, but if it is anything like Inland Revenue portal for payroll, it won't work and there is no one in the BVI government that can tell you how to fix it.
Why don't you just stick with the old process and just schedule stuff every day (and work an 8-hour day)!?

I'm so sorry that you do not have the a simple level of understanding, that you can make such a comment on Inland Revenue system, when its working perfectly fine.

Perhaps the courts could address a very simple but hugely disrespectful practice first? A fiend of mine has now showed up for 3 planned court dates - for a minor offence- and was told only when arriving for the session, Sorry it's been postponed. So perhaps the courts should first have a lesson in common decency, buy a laptop or phone and notify persons????? Just imagine if an ordinary citizen ager to do that to our so called esteemed Courts, by not showing up....SMH
