NEW ORLEANS, USA- Virgin Islands sprint star Adaejah T. Hodge's remarkable journey continues as she has signed a significant endorsement deal with Nike, Inc., widely regarded as the world's largest supplier of athletic shoes and apparel, and known for its iconic Swoosh logo.

Hodge, who has been named a finalist for the prestigious Bowerman Award. officially entered into an NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deal with Nike on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. 

Following the signing, she celebrated on Facebook, stating, “From dreaming it to doing it! Just Do It, NikeAthlete, NikeNIL.”

This is a historic moment for Hodge, who recently completed an exceptional freshman season. 

She shattered the NCAA records in both the 100m (10.63 seconds) and the 200m (21.68 seconds). Additionally, she played a pivotal role in leading the University of Georgia to secure the team title at the recent NCAA Championships.

According to a Facebook post, Hodge is set to return to the University of Georgia for her sophomore season, standing out as one of the brightest stars in collegiate track and field.

Hodge to compete this weekend 

Meanwhile, Hodge is preparing to compete against the fastest sprinters in the world at her World Athletics Diamond League debut, taking place at the Prefontaine Classic meet in Eugene, Oregon. 

The 51st annual event is scheduled for Friday, July 3, 2026, and Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field.
