MANAGUA, Nicaragua- The Virgin Islands (VI) played their final game in Group E at the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Qualifiers in Managua, Nicaragua, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, losing 3-1 to Anguilla.

The VI scored their first goal of the competition, which came off the boot of T’Nyah Richardson.

Phaedra Romney opened the scoring for Anguilla in the 17’ at Miguel ‘Chocorrón’ Buitrago Stadium in Managua. McKenzie Niles doubled the lead in the 31’.

Lone goal for VI

The Virgin Islands got its first goal of the tournament as Kiyah-Starr Shelton’s shot rang off the crossbar and T’Nyah Richardson was there to clean it up in the 52’.

Anguilla quieted any hope of a comeback in the 78’ as Joden Henry sealed the victory.

The VI ended at the bottom of Group E, after failing to win any of their 4 games.
