Been st Lucia a few times before. And in my trip then in the 90's it was highly more advance than bvi. My first trip was my know my local people need to stop the label of my island or down island. Because truly most down island as you call it are more advance that this little dot on the map.

With that said st Lucia do deserve that rating. It only means they have advance more their product.

Tourism doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Housing costs drive wages, wages drive hotel and service prices, and prices drive airlift viability.

When workers can’t afford to live here, employers either pay more, operate short-staffed.. or adopt disastrous workarounds: wage suppression, dormitory housing, food subsidies, and rental assistance for non-Virgin Islanders. That undercuts Virgin Islanders trying to compete and hollows out the local workforce.

Rising costs then shorten visitor stays, weaken demand, and ultimately reduce airlift.
