VI places 6th in NACAC U13-U15 Championships




According to information from the BVI Athletic Association, the VI placed 6th out of the 20 competing countries.
On Day 1 of the championships, Dakarai Prescott secured the Bronze Medal in 60M boys U11-12, with the 3rd fastest overall finish in a time of 7.85 seconds. He also finished 3rd overall in the ball throw with a 45.50m heave.
Taylor Phipps also earned the Bronze Medal in the U11-12, finishing 8th overall in the 60M Boys. He had a 38.85m ball throw, finishing 9th overall.
Other results
Meanwhile, on the first day, Roshanna Lennon finished 3rd in the Girls' high jump with a 1.35M mark and 8.51 seconds in the Girls' 60M.
Guiliana Faulkner was 7th overall in the U13 Girls high jump with 1.30m and 13th overall in the 60M Girls with a time of 8.60 seconds. Tiffany Herbert completed the 80M girls U15 in a time of 11.03 seconds. T'Keiya Smith ran the 80M girls U15 in 11.14 seconds.
Bryson Walters had a 12.42m shot put throw in the boys U15 category and finished 5th overall. He also ran the 60M in 9.64 seconds.

At the end of Day 2, the final day, results were as follows:
U13 Pentathlon Boys 3rd overall - 5755pts
U13 Pentathlon Girls 9th overall - 4535pts
U15 Heptathlon Boys 5th overall - 9195
U15 Heptathlon Girls 9th overall - 6193pts
"The entire team showed up and showed out as expected. Congratulations all!" the BVIAA said in a post on social media.
The VI delegation included (U15 Boys) Bryson Walter and Caedon Fraites; (U13 Boys) D’Karai Prescott and Taylor Phipps; (U13 Girls) Roshanna Lennon and Giuliana Faulkner; and (U15 Girls) T’Keiya Smith and Tiffany Herbert.
They were accompanied by coaches Carl Barrett, Winston Potter, Ericca Frederick and Jennifer King.
