ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands, regarded as the sailing capital of the world and well-known for its pristine beaches and exceptional hospitality, has been nominated for the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards 2026.

Most desirable destinations

The Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards recognise the most desirable destinations, tour operators, and travel brands, with a total prize pool of £75,000. It is set to be a significant event in the travel industry, with over 250,000 unique votes expected.

“From beautiful sand beaches to luxurious yacht experiences, BVI is a destination that stays with you and has a way of welcoming you back every time,” the BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission commented on the nomination on social media.

The winners will be determined by public vote from the Wanderlust readers. The awards will take place in an iconic London venue, and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy behind-the-scenes tours and events.
