Where is Steve P? he didn't make the team? Also, you sure 88 is the head coach because at the practices he spend more time on the phone then he does with the team.

88 don't coach a team in the league to say he still fresh on his skills but he coaching national team??? Something ain't wrong with that?

You don't have to coach in league to coach national team. However 88 did coach in over 40 league. If that counts

To coach in this tournament you have to qualified, only 88 have those qualifications! FIBA rules!

88 should not be coaching the national team. Which country in sports choose a head coach who doesn't coach any where, not even in our local league. He stills runs high school plays

you are not totally right - national teams do not always have a head coach who coaches in local leagues- the role of a national coach includes appointing the right back room team to produce the results. He co ordinates a joint effort and leaves particular areas to those he entrusts with doing the best job. He tells the assistants what he wants to see then supervises to make sure it happens.

I will be supporting the BVI Team 110%. The team is lacking a bit in size otherwise, I think there is good balance in guard and forward rotations. Given the lack of size, the coaches will need to a good job scouting the other teams. The players must also read and follow the scouting report. Part of the BVI strategy must be run and gun, I would let the big boys get the ball of the glass and then it should be off to the races, good guards, athletic forwards, RUN!!! when you are tired there is another good guard, forward come in to keep the pace up. The team will also need to play a lot of quick trapping defense!! Go Team BVI - ALL Day Everyday!!!

Weak team this year, there's a lot of better basketball players than those guys. All who don't believe it just go to Belle Vue Gym sit and watch it's way better than what they have in town. But anyway we will support it.

A few simple questions. What happened to Steve? What about Kelo? How Molik made the team? I like the youth movement but weren't there more effective players available? Duron, Bolo, Kobo, Glove,

I understand why Victor would go play for Guyana now he probably felt dissed. Hopefully we might win a game or 2.

only allowed one "international" player so looks like they had to choose between kelo and Rasheed don't forget dewitt didn't get included either- maybe steve got dropped by the same group that took over his college tourney- Victor is Guyanese so why wudnt he play for them ?

How "Molik" made the team....you need not ask....but like Kermit the Frog says..."that's none of my business".... so let's get front seat....

Bolo is one of the best basketball players here n he deserve to be a starter on that national team.. but it's because b..h don't like east end people is why bolo wouldn't even be considered to play

up to now I've just been reading the comments. since there hasn't been a few of us in the stands watching the the team practice I can only guess where somebody coming to come.

Yes 88 is on his phone all the practices but you don't know if he's handling team related business or not. Yes it seems as though some of the playsthat they are running may seem simple. However, I've also seen coach Mike putting in Pro Set offenses that the team seems to enjoy and also appears to be very effective what it feels like

the team has talent and I believe could do very well if they follow the philosophies of the coaching staff.the coaches appear to be very committed to executing good plays and team discipline should be a good tournament showing

there's a big meeting Monday with Tortola people and FIBA. Basketball Federation trying to get players that aren't eligible because of naturalization rule 2 get a waiver and be able to participate and this weeks games. If this happens you're going to see four players dropped from the current team.

I don't think head coach really wants to see this happen because the son is probably going to be one of those that gets dropped however I believe the very beneficial to the team that they were reinstated.
