VI models take New York Fashion Week by storm
New York Fashion Week is held in February and September and represents a meeting point where fashion designers and brands display their latest collections to buyers, media, celebrities, stylists, and influencers.
The also event influences the upcoming fashion trends, as in February the designers show their Fall Collections, which usually hit stores by August and in September they showcase the Spring/Summer Collections for the following year, which usually roll-out by January, after the holiday season.
This season at New York Fashion Week’s Fall 2023 collections, VI model Xaria Penn and St Maarten/VI model Dani Carbon walked the runway for several designers and brands, including Cesar Galindo, House of Bdellom, Rois Revent, Naranji, Epta Wear, Safa Designs, Badgley Mischka and Cucculelli Shaheen.
VI Models appeared in both runway shows
The Summer Sizzle organisation stated further that, last September, VI model Arielle Bell walked for several designers at New York Fashion Week where designers included Charles & Ron, Giannina Azar, Mister Triple X, Hirun Phromma, and Cesar Galindo.
Ms Bell also walked for several designers at LA Fashion Week, which included Walter Mendez, Coral Castillo, and Sergio Tacchini. She was featured on her first cover for Style Cruze Magazine.
Terry T. Donovan, founder and producer of Summer Sizzle BVI, stated, “When I created Summer Sizzle BVI in 2008, there were very few residents interested in the fashion Industry. Since the event’s inception, there is an ever-increasing interest from local youths in fashion, beauty, and photography.”
He added that with the event, persons in the industry have seen the confidence, skills, and self-esteem development in local aspiring models, designers, and other creatives.
Donovan also related that past participants have shared that they have gained confidence, which helps them throughout their lives and careers.
