VI men lose 3-nil to Dominica in FIFA WC Qualifier

ROSEAU, Dominica- The Virgin Islands (VI) National Men’s team suffered a 3-nil defeat in their opening 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying match against Dominica on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

The Round 2 match was played at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau, Dominica.

The Virgin Islands looked to be in control of the game early and made some promising attacks; however, the momentum changed when Dominica scored their first goal in the 29th minute.

The BVI Football Association said, “Tough result for our Men’s Senior National Team in tonight’s World Cup Qualifier. Despite the scoreline, the team showed heart and commitment until the final whistle,” on its official Facebook page. 

Next game this weekend against JA

The BVIFA said added “We regroup, we learn, and we keep pushing forward on the road to 2026.” 

The VI is in Group E together with Guatemala, Dominica, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.

The team will be back on home soil to play Jamaica this weekend on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the AO Shirley Recreation Ground.

    Lol Saturday will be the end of the road hope to see BVI again in 4 years time form now,
