ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Department of Immigration is alerting the public to a fraudulent website that is falsely representing itself as the official Government platform for applications for an Online ED Card for the Territory of the Virgin Islands and is unlawfully charging a fee to enter the territory.

The public is advised that this website is not affiliated with the Government of the Virgin Islands.

According to a public advisory from the Department of Immigration, the only official website to be used for obtaining an Online ED Card for the Virgin Islands is BVIEDCARD.GOV.VG.

The Department advised that there is no other authorised websites for this service and that there is no charge to obtain an Online ED Card to enter the Virgin Islands.

Report the matter

Members of the public are strongly urged not to provide personal information or make any payments on unauthorised websites claiming to facilitate entry into the Territory.

Anyone who believes they may have interacted with a fraudulent site or made a payment is encouraged to report the matter immediately to their relevant banking institutions.

    I GOT CAUGHT WITH THAT ONLINE SCAM GOING TO ST KITTS I FILL OUT THE FORM ONLINE THERE WAS A SECTION THAT ASK FOR A ENTRY TAX OF $20 THAT HAD TO BE PAID BY CARD TO COMPLETE AND SUBMIT IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A BAR CODE WHICH I DID WHEN I ARRIVE IN SKB AND SUBMIT MY CODE TO IMMIGRATION THERE WAS NOTHING IN THEY SYSTEM FOf ME AND INFORM ME THAT IS A SCAM GOING ON AND I NOT THE ONLY PERSON GOT CAUGHI IN IT THE SCAMMERS USE MY CARD AND WENT ON A SHOPPING SPREE I REPORT IT TO POLICE AND MY BANK THEY ARE WORKING ON FINDING THOSE BANDICTS
