SETTING POINT, Anegada, VI– The Virgin Islands is once again preparing to welcome food lovers, adventure seekers, and cultural explorers to the highly anticipated Anegada Lobster Festival 2025.

Set to take place from November 28-30, 2025, the festival will serve as the grand finale of this year’s BVI Food Fete, and promises to be more immersive than ever.

Organised by the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC), in collaboration with the Anegada community, the festival celebrates the best of Anegada’s culinary, cultural, and natural offerings.

9 local restaurants already onboard

According to the BVITBFC, already, nine local restaurants have confirmed their participation, with more expected to join in the coming weeks.

This year’s event, the BVITBFC said, will once again feature its signature culinary crawl format—a dynamic scavenger hunt-style experience encouraging festivalgoers to traverse the island while sampling a variety of lobster dishes and exploring Anegada’s unique attractions.

With its flat terrain and 13 square miles of pristine natural beauty, the island provides the perfect backdrop for this one-of-a-kind celebration.

Anegada to be showcased in its ‘entirety’

Director of Tourism, Clive L. McCoy, reflected on the festival’s origins and evolving focus:

“While the Caribbean spiny lobster remains the star of the show, this year we are placing renewed emphasis on the original purpose of the festival—showcasing Anegada in its entirety.

“Now in its 13th year, the Anegada Lobster Festival was created to encourage both residents and visitors to discover the island’s charm, especially given its relative remoteness from the other Virgin Islands. Over the years, the BVI Tourist Board has supported this goal with sustained efforts—from developing brochures and maps to enhancing key attractions and organising familiarisation visits for international media and travel trade.”

Something for every type of traveller

In addition to indulging in mouthwatering lobster dishes, attendees can enjoy Anegada’s wide range of natural and cultural attractions, including Flamingo Point Lookout, Conch Shell Mounds (Conch Island), Faulkner House Museum, Fisherman’s Wharf and Anegada Iguana Headstart Facility.

According to the BVITBFC, a variety of outdoor activities also await, from snorkelling, kiteboarding, and kayaking to scooter riding, horseback riding, and hiking, offering something for every type of traveller.

This is my opinion and my opinion only. This year Anegada you have to make this the best Lobster Fest. I have friends from Maine flying in and is looking forward to different variations of lobster dishes. I spend most Weekends on Anegada because Anegada is tranquil, laid back and peaceful. East End and Carrot Bay earn their bragging rights for the awesome jobs they did this Festival. It is time for Anegada to earn their bragging rights for having the best Lobster Fest this year.

In agreement with your comment 100%. It is time for Anegada to shine sans Anegada is always treated like a forgotten sister Island. Anegada is a beautiful quaint Island.

Cue the professional complainers making comments about lobsters being cockroaches of the sea!!
I love lobster and Anegada - however Lobster Fest brings the pushy noisey badly dressed trash of Tortola to Anegada and is the weekend I always leave.

The same way you all does be hiding the pork under the rice, chicken or whatever else you all eating. Some Adventist will be right there eating the same food and trying to play holy and critizing others eating the same thing. Pretending like they don't know what you talking about. By the way, I have family members that are Adventist and I watch them all the time eating and drinking things to claim to be unclean and against their religion.
