VI delegation to attend 43rd Caribbean Travel Marketplace

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands will be represented at the 43rd edition of the Caribbean Travel Marketplace, the Caribbean’s leading business-to-business tourism event in Antigua and Barbuda from May 18 to 22, 2025.

The event, according to a press release today, May 15, 2025, from the BVI Tourist Board & Film Commission (BVITBFC), will be attended by a strong delegation representing the territory in a unified effort to promote the VI’s tourism offerings to a global audience. 

The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) hosted event will be attended by Natasha J. Chalwell, Deputy Director of Tourism; Ms RaeNisia Scatliffe, Regional Marketing Manager; and Feliza D. Fenty, International Marketing Manager from the BVITBFC, as well as Sharon P. Flax-Brutus, Executive Director of the British Virgin Islands Yachting, Hotel & Tourism Association (BVIYHTA). 

Event to showcase VI’s diversity- Ms Chalwell

According to Ms Chalwell, “CHTA Marketplace provides a unique platform to showcase the diversity and strengths of the BVI as a world-class destination…We look forward to reconnecting with partners and forging new relationships that will continue to position the BVI as a leading Caribbean travel destination.”

The team will engage key stakeholders across various sectors, including, tour operators, travel advisors, media and other tourism professionals. They will also provide updates on the VI’s tourism developments such as the sailing industry, luxury accommodations and cultural heritage experiences. 

Hundreds of delegates from across the world attend the event that offers a “vibrant environment for networking, business development, and strategic collaborations,” the release added.

    What you find in these spaces is that you have countries of all types but at the end of the day, we have one goal, which is to market market market
