VI climbs into Top 5 Best Caribbean Islands in Condé Nast Traveller 2025 Awards

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands (VI) has secured its position as the 2nd Best Island in the Caribbean and Atlantic, as recognised by the esteemed Condé Nast Traveller 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards (US Edition) and 4th in the United Kingdom (UK) edition.

Renowned as the official Sailing Capital of the World, the Virgin Islands consistently garners international acclaim for its unmatched offerings, which include pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and rich cultural heritage. 

The Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards spotlight 47 properties within its brand portfolio that have been recognised by Condé Nast Traveller readers in both the US and UK markets. 

This year’s Readers’ Choice Awards—now in its 38th edition—collected an impressive 757,109 votes from globe-trotting readers.

Bermuda topped this year’s list with 94.82, and the Virgin Islands came in second with 94.59 points in the US edition, up from 10th place in 2024.

'Powerful endorsement'

The Virgin Islands is celebrated for its ideal sailing conditions, including warm weather, steady trade winds, and clear, calm waters that attract sailors of all experience levels. Tortola is particularly known as the charter yacht capital of the Caribbean. 

“The British Virgin Islands is thrilled to once again be recognised among the top island destinations in both the US and UK Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards,” said Clive L. McCoy, Director of Tourism. “These accolades are a powerful endorsement from our guests, reaffirming the exceptional experiences we strive to deliver. This recognition motivates us to continue enhancing our offerings and maintaining our place among the world’s most elite destinations.”

Meanwhile, several of the Territory’s renowned resorts also earned high rankings in the Best Resorts in the Caribbean and Atlantic category. On the US list, Peter Island Resort ranked 14th, Moskito Island 22nd, and Bitter End Yacht Club 35th, while Rosewood Little Dix Bay was voted the 7th Best Resort in the Caribbean and Atlantic on the UK list.
