CALI, Colombia, SA- The World Athletics Under 20 Championships get underway in Cali, Colombia today, August 1, 2022.

The Virgin Islands is represented by sprinters Akrisa Eristee and Wanyae Belle.

Belle will be in action in Heat 3 of the Men’s 100m around 12:10pm today and will also contest the 200m on a different day.

Eristee will get into action in the Women’s 200m on August 2, 2022. She will also compete in the 400m.

The team coach is certified World Athletics Level 1 Coach and past sprinter Karene K.R. King.
