VI archers compete on the industry’s biggest stage!

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana- VI Field Archery Federation (VIFAF) members Xavier M. Buxo and Ritseeniyah N. Georges Buxo represented the Virgin Islands at the ATA Show in Indianapolis and then competed in the Rushmore Rumble in the Open Compound Flights division.

Rushmore Rumble, which attracts some of the world's top archers, was held at the Indiana Convention Centre from January 9-11, 2026.

According to a press release from the Virgin Islands Field Archery Federation (VIFAF), Georges Buxo battled through a tough first day to finish 4th, then climbed to 3rd place on the final day, earning prize money and finishing with a 9.25 overall average.

Xavier Buxo tested new equipment and posted an 8.4 average, his best score in two years of competition, as preparation for the 2026 Vegas Shoot and VI Outdoor Championships.

ATA Show

Beyond competition, both archers attended the ATA Show as dealers to explore new 2026 gear, secure partnerships, and support archery development in the VI.

The archers' participation in the events was partly sponsored by Shoot Tru Archery Supply.
