VG Summer Jam: Time 2 Wuk, East Rockers & Dominican Power in action this weekend

SOUTH VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Play in the 2022 VG Summer Jam continues this weekend with three games on Friday and Saturday respectively at Jeffrey Caines Arena in South Valley, Virgin Gorda.

Weekend’s fixture

On Friday, August 19, 2022, Just In Time and On a Mission will open play from 6:00pm.

That game will be followed by a clash between Just For Fun and Jr Skillful Ballers.

The feature game will see Ice Connection battling with Go Hard.

Thrilling triple header set for Saturday

Saturday, August 20, 2022, is billed to be a thrilling affair.

The first game on the cards is between VG All-Star and Dominican Power.

Game 2 will bring to the spotlight Time 2 Wuk and Hustlers in B Division play.  Time 2 Wuk will be coming off a 104-39 points demolition of Category 5 last Saturday.

The big game, in A Division, will be between East Rockers and Without A Doubt.

Speedy Ferry Services will be making a special trip after the games, at 12:30 am Sunday, arriving at Beef Island.

Defending champs defeated on opening night

The highlight of the opening day’s play on Saturday, August 13, 2022, was a thrilling win by Set It Off against defending champions Up 2 Da Time.

Travis A. Isaac sunk a 3-point buzzer beater to give Set It Off a 86-85 points win.

Stephano K. Paul led the scoring for the winners with 22 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists.

Shamaar A. George supported with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Top scoring for Up 2 Da Time were Jevonne Demming, with 21 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals and Kimron Telemaque, who netted 17 points, made 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

Games time this weekend is 6:00pm.

For admission, adults pay $3:00 while children under 12 pay $1:00.
