VG Summer Jam: Set It Off rebounds with big win over Dominican League



Set It Off prevailed by a scoreline of 104-50.
Also on Saturday, East edged past Without A Doubt, 56-52, in a low-scoring affair.
Massive win for Set It Off
Coy Dore (21 points) and Shakeem Blackmore (20 points) were the men on fire for Set It Off, who were ruthless against the Dominican League.
Jelant Lennard (15 points), Douron R. Phillip (13 points), Travis A. Issac (10 points), and Jevonne Demming (10 points) all contributed to Set It Off’s handsome 3-figure score.
Carlos Soriano top scored for Dominican League with 14 points, while Darius Stevens and Jose Julien Balbuena Taveras had 10 points each.
Dominican League had picked up their first win of the 2025 VG Summer Jam the night before, a 79-68 defeat of the flightless Eagles.
East take down Without A Doubt
Meanwhile, East secured their second win in a row when they turned back the challenge of Without A Doubt, 56-52, in a hard-fought encounter.
Riquan Fahie led the East scoring with 16 points, while Jasin C. Rhymer dropped in 13 and Chris McKelly scored 10.
Without A Doubt’s fight was led by Jolyon Wilson, who had 15 points and 12 rebounds. Demron Glasgow ended with 10 points.
Out The Mud defeat On A Mission
In the Division C League, Out The Mud defeated On A Mission again, 57-25.
Delanje Bedford had a game-high 16 points and also pulled 10 rebounds, while his Out The Mud teammate, Kemori Daway, scored 10 points, made 7 rebounds and effected 8 steals.
The top scorers for On A Mission were Shedani Lettsome (8 points and 17 rebounds) and Americ Roberts (8 points and 12 rebounds).

The oganisers of the VG Summer Jam have also announced that Speedy’s Ferry will be departing Virgin Gorda for Beef Island at 12:30 am, following the games on Saturday nights, beginning October 4, 2025.
