VG resident gets 30 months in prison for Marijuana find
The sentence was handed down by Magistrate Tamia Richards after Mr. Leonard pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis with intent to supply on May 15, 2012.
On December 30, 2011, Leonard was charged after Police seized over 2,000 plants and seedlings from his home and another by the name of Bakemba George.
According to court records, police officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, after responding to a tip, searched the home of Mr. Leonard and found two lines of Cannabis hanging in the kitchen, as well as cannabis seeds.
Mr. Leonard, 37, is the father of two and had no previous convictions.
