VG man remanded for firearm possession, threats
Malone, who was unrepresented at the time, did not offer a plea to any of the charges. He told the court that he need time to get a lawyer.
According to the complaints read in court, Malone was charged with being in possession of a firearm with intent to commit a crime at Valley, Virgin Gorda, on December 7, 2013.
The court heard that Malone allegedly made use of threatening language on December 11, 2013 at the St Thomas Bay jetty. He allegedly told a man: “I see you dropping my woman, this is my woman. I would shoot you [expletive].”
Later that same day, Malone allegedly told a woman at Valley, Virgin Gorda: “Right up there will be your destination. I will kill your [expletive].”
Two days later, on December 13, 2013, the defendant allegedly threatened another person at Valley, Virgin Gorda and told them: “I am waiting for your [expletive] when you coming up the road tonight, I will kill you.”
The matter will come up again for hearing on March 14, 2014 at which time the defendant is expected to return with a lawyer. He was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison at Balsam Ghut.
