The boys from Tortola, East, had staged a thrilling come-from-behind victory this night before, but fortune would not be on their side Sunday night, as VG Elite registered a thrilling 79–76 victory.

VG Elite established an early advantage, taking a 24–18 lead after the opening quarter. East responded in the second period, but VG Elite maintained a 43–36 advantage at halftime. The teams battled to a 16–16 draw in the third quarter, leaving VG Elite with a seven-point cushion heading into the final frame.

East fight back but VG up to the task

East mounted a furious comeback in the fourth quarter, outscoring VG Elite 19–12 in the regulation four-quarter portion of the game. With the contest hanging in the balance, VG Elite remained composed down the stretch and outscored East 8–5 in the final five-minute period to secure the three-point victory.

East had at least three opportunities in quick succession to level the game from behind the 3-point arc in the dying seconds of the game, but just could not find the bucket.

Kimron S. Telemaque led a balanced VG Elite attack with 17 points, knocking down three three-pointers while adding four assists. Demron Glasgow delivered a powerful all-around performance with 16 points and a game-high 16 rebounds. Stephano K. Paul and Stephon S. Caul each contributed 15 points, with Caul adding four steals.

East was paced by Jamari Dagou, who scored a game-high 23 points, including six three-pointers. Jahmai Jones added 18 points, while Demoii A. Dagou finished with 15 points and five assists. East also received a dominant rebounding effort from Shakeem Tyson, who grabbed 18 rebounds and recorded three blocks.

The loss was a tough one for East, which had gone undefeated during the regular season before suffering its first defeat in the playoffs. VG Elite's victory now brings the championship series level at 1–1, setting up a decisive final game with the championship on the line.

With both teams having now claimed a victory in the series, the stage is set for a winner-take-all championship showdown.
