The forum, initially scheduled for September 2, 2026, has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 5:30 PM and will be held in the Conference Room of the Flax Administration Building on Virgin Gorda.

The Virgin Islands Festivals & Fairs Committee is encouraging residents, businesses, community groups, stakeholders, and festival supporters to attend and contribute to the discussion. 

Forum will guide festival development

The forum is expected to generate recommendations on festival programming, cultural heritage, youth involvement, the promotion of local talent, and the overall development of the celebration. The ideas shared could help guide future planning and ensure that the festival remains relevant, inclusive and representative of Virgin Gorda’s culture.

Community participation could also help identify new opportunities for young people, local performers, businesses and community organisations to become more involved in the festival. 

The committee said the forum will give the public a chance to share ideas and recommendations on the future of the event. It is urging residents and other interested persons to attend and take part in shaping the continuation of the cultural celebration.
