VG Bayside Blazers unstoppable after 7 games in RT Basketball League

- win two games @ weekend including against East Rockers to remain unbeaten

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The senior VG Bayside Blazers continued their sublime form in the Road Town Basketball League to remain undefeated this weekend, including a come from behind victory against East Rockers at Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

Jr VG Bayside Blazers also won their game on Sunday.

Come from behind win for VG Bayside Blazers

The match-up between Senior VG Bayside Blazers and East Rockers was a highly anticipated one and saw the Blazers initially outplayed by East Rockers who led 21-16 at the first quarter.

In the second quarter, East Rockers continued to move the ball around while Blazers were more keen on taking long range shots. East Rockers would go to the second half in the lead 36-30.

In the second half of the game; however, the East Rockers ran out of steam while VG Bayside Blazers piled on the pressure and led 60- 56 at the end of the third quarter.

The East Rockers could not find a second wind and VG Bayside Blazers ran out winners by a 83-73 score line.

Killven M. Samuel top scored for the winners with 18 points.

Rodney George supported with 14 points and 14 rebounds, Gary Gillhouse 13, Kimron Telemaque 11 and Shamar George 10.

For the entertaining East Rockers, Leslee J. Smith scored 16 points and pulled 12 rebounds, Antwan Robinson had 15 points, Dameon Ottley 11 points and 12 rebounds and Riquan Fahie 10 points.

VG Bayside Blazers are now undefeated in 7 games and is the only team that has won all of its games.

On Friday, June 25, 2021, they overcame A’s 77- 69.

Jr VG Bayside Blazers beat Jr East Rockers 75-68.

Earlier on Sunday, the Jr VG Bayside Blazers ensure it was a total dominance against the East Rockers camp as they defeated the Junior team 75-68.

T’Khoi Richardson led the Blazers’ charge with 23 points.

Leroy Lennard netted 15 points and 13 rebounds while Demron Glasgow scored 14 points and 16 rebounds and Ryan Ramlall 14.

Zachary Luke top scored with 26 points and 15 rebounds for Jr East Rockers.

Deshawn Doyley and T’Coy Tyson scored 13 points each.

Guns beat A’s 83-68

Also on Sunday, Guns overpowered the A’s with Ray D. Victor top scoring with 29 points.

T’Quan Stoutt dropped in 15 points while Kyle Abraham scored a similar amount but also grabbed 15 rebounds.

Javon Demmings led the effort by A’s with 28 points and Noel McKelly 10.

    it was good game between zone 7 and VG but Blazers had the better team!

    VG Blazers is a good team but they don't seem to be gelling well. The East boys exposed their vulnerability.
