VG Bayside Blazers blow out Tola to win 2025 KOTC Caribbean C/ships

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A classy VG Bayside Blazers dominated Tola en route to being crowned the 2025 King of the Courts (KOTC) Caribbean Championships at Multi-Purpose Sports Complex last night, May 18, 2025.

The unbeaten VG Bayside Blazers, sponsored by Biras Creek Resort and Marina, Ninth District Representative Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley, and managed by former Speaker Julian Willock, raced to an early lead and even enjoyed a 34-point advantage before eventually running out convincing winners, 87-67.

In the Third-Place Game, Santo whipped St Kitts 96-51.

VG Bayside Blazers vs Tola

Tyohn D. Trimble was the lead scorer for the Blazers with 29 points and received the individual award for Most Assists (20 Assists) in the tournament.

Raheem E. Carter, however, ended up with the MVP of the final for his 23 points.

Other players who made their mark on the scoresheets for VG Bayside Blazers were Ronald E. Delph and Austin O. Oltime, who had 14 points each.

Delph received awards for Most Rebounds (27) and Most Blocks (10) for the tournament.

Leading the tame fight for Tola were Antwain Johnson (17 points), Kalu Ezikpe (13 points), and Wesley Alcegaire (12 points).

Tola had also reached the 2024 final but lost to USVI Elites.

Santo vs St Kitts

The Third-Place Game turned out to be a lopsided affair, as Santo blew out St Kitts 96-51.

A. Santos had a game-high 39 points and was also later presented with the award for Most Points of the tournament. Santos accumulated 81 points.

Santos also had the most 3-pointers in the competition, 12.

Alexander Garcia dropped in 19 points and Fernando Osoria contributed 14 points.

Sanger Rodriguez was presented with the award for Most Steals (6) of the tournament.

Nine countries were represented at this year's championships. The teams competed for the Premier Cup and a $15,000.00 cash prize.

    These Tola referees just unfair , I glad VG beat the m Tola man , just for the referees sake. Same thing they did to Santo when playing VG These games are too unfair it’s like a Tola thing to treat strangers bad.

    BVI do not know how to fight fair. I agree with USVI and I'm from tola. But for future, get rid of the 4 pointer. No real league considers it. BVI need to get up to the times in terms of skill.
